My first thought when I received this book…. “Just how many more self-help books are there out there?” I was wrong, this is more than a self-help book. Total Turnaround has helped me to discern the areas in my own life that perhaps I am not experiencing total victory.

Total Turnaround: 12 Keys to Breakthrough in Every Area of Your Life by Danette Crawford

God does not want His children living in defeat. He wants to give you a total turnaround in every area of your life. Whatever your area of greatest challenge or deepest need, identify it, hand it over to God in prayer, and allow Him to build expectation in your heart because He truly want to bring a turnaround I that area.
This book was an interesting read. I found myself in more than one chapter to be sure. I’m not sure that I really realized that there are so many aspects of our life that God longs for us to be beyond blessed. This author, Danette Joy Crawford, has helped me to see that. After learning about the truths of a Total Turnaround, she walks us through eleven areas in our life where we can achieve breakthrough: Prayer Life, Spiritual State, Mind-set, Emotions, Self-Image, Marriage and Relationships, Teenagers, Finances, Health, Perspective… and Every Area.
In each chapter, she relates stories and teachings from her own life as she dissects each area of breakthrough. With biblical references and solid teaching, she leads the reader through defining and discerning their areas of needed breakthrough. At the end of each chapter, she challenges the reader with “Turnaround Keys” and “Points To Ponder”. This is a great book for a personal study as well as a small group study. I highly recommend it.
