Welcome to our digital home! We’re glad you’re here! Here is where I write the TRUTH and speak the TRUTH. The TRUTH of Jesus Christ, the TRUTH of the Cross, the TRUTH of Sin and Redemption, the TRUTH of Heaven and Hell, the TRUTH of Holy Spirit, the TRUTH of satan. In this digital home, as it is in my earthly home, I speak the TRUTH. And while that has, at times, caused some dissension, I nonetheless will not and can not be silent.
That being said, I don’t know that anything that I have to say will speak to you, I hope that it does. So it’s time to jump in and see what’s what here. Pour yourself a cup of coffee, or tea, sit back and take a few minutes to explore what all is here.
What you’ll find is a long running book review blog. That is how this page got started back in 2012. I found that I was able to join my love of reading (free books to boot) with my desire to write, and voila’- a blog was born. There were times over the years, when life took over and the want-to’s took second, sometimes third place to the have-to’s and the must-do’s. But I’m still here and retirement is offering a bit more time of late to begin working through my very long list of writing and speaking topics.
I set some lofty goals in 2018 and 2019 to bring multiple blogs together under one banner, finish and publish my first book “Refined by the Fire“, created my YouTube Channel , and though not on to-do my list, launched a PodBean Podcast.
I’m happy to say that all but one of my 2018 and 2019 goals was birthed. As for the one remaining unfinished goal, my desire to publish a devotional and prayer journal (though still in process) took second place to the birth of a new book – “The Cross Splits the World” (published Fall 2019).
And then came 2020 and like everyone else in the world, everything went upside down… plans were put on hold. Home became the only safe place. I had to make a quick transition to being primary caretaker for family just to keep them safe. Life took on a whole new meaning. “Locking family down” meant that I was on lock down as well. This new role, meant that most of my plans were put on hold. But I am happy and blessed to say, that all well and safe and none of those I tend to have succumbed!
And just when you think things are going to get back to normal… life happens again. We spent 2020 as primary care giver to my precious mother-in-law. She passed into eternity early 2021. Then came the closing of her estate and all that entails. My life took second place… and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Late 2021 into 2022 took us on over a dozen trips south in search of our retirement home. We landed in Eastern North Carolina late 2022. It’s a perfect house on the end of a quiet street and we love it. So, now while there are still dozens and dozens of things needing care and attention in making this little home ours… it time to get back on track.
December 2023 marked the publication of my first fiction novel – “The Left Behind Box”. It is a work of End Times fiction based on Biblical Fact. Check out the Books Page to learn more.
In Mid 2024, I published my 4th book called, “Who Do You Think You Are?“. Check out the post and page for that book. Don’t skip reading about the drama and issues we encountered in getting that book published… Only But God!
Late 2024 took an unexpected turn of events for us when our son, JM died from cancer. This month, I completed documenting the journey we embarked on to save his unsaved soul for eternity. It is documented in the story “And God Showed Up!”
The clock is ticking. So, what’s coming this year and the next and the next?
The “Truth Series” writings were removed from the regular blog and are being compiled into my fifth book publishedwith a working title of “Truthfully Speaking“ in mid 2026. In this crazy world where up is down and left is right and right is wrong… when the battle is between good and evil, it is time the unvarnished, unapologetic Truths are put out there. We are also working on publishing (Spring 2026) the incredible testimony of my husband Mike’s life and the work God has done on his heart. A true don’t miss.
After that, the next book on my to-do list is a devotional about the names and attributes of Jesus perhaps as a devotional with a working title of “It’s all about Who you know“.
Now… and beyond
Some number of years ago, God spoke into my heart in the wee hours of the morning – “speak the TRUTH to the world”. I just don’t know what that looks like… yet. This little blog has reached 1000’s of visitors from over 170 countries. With that in mind, as an obedient servant I am considering reviving the path that was set in motion a couple years and expand “The Truth Series” – where we discuss the Truths of the Kingdom of God without hesitation or reservation – on our YouTube channel , iTunes and Podbean Podcast channels. In addition, I hope to begin a discussion about walking out our faith in the current political/cultural/secular climate we now find ourselves living in – though I believe this will come in book form first.
Through all of this, I continue to prayerfully discern what God want’s for the direction of this ministry as I settle into the next season of life (retirement!!). In all things I remember that God has blessed me beyond measure and it is my duty to share the Good News with those who might be blessed by it.
