Welcome to our digital home! We’re glad you’re here! Here is where we write the TRUTH and speak the TRUTH. The TRUTH of Jesus Christ, the TRUTH of the Cross, the TRUTH of Sin and Redemption, the TRUTH of Heaven and Hell, the TRUTH of Holy Spirit, the TRUTH of satan. In this digital home, as it is in our earthly home, we speak the TRUTH. And while that has, at times, caused some dissension, we nonetheless will not and can not be silent.
That being said, we don’t know that anything that we have to say will speak to you, we hope that it does. So it’s time to jump in and see what’s what here. Pour yourself a cup of coffee, or tea, sit back and take a few minutes to explore what all is here.
What you’ll find is a long running book review blog. That is how this page got started back in 2012. I (Ann) found that I was able to join my love of reading (free books to boot) with my desire to write, and voila’- a blog was born.
Around that same time, we decided to separate personal writings from the book review blog and another blog was started. And then life took over. It’s been such a crazy few years, and the want-to’s took second, sometimes third place to the have-to’s and the must-to’s. It is our hope that a lot will come to fruition this year. All in one place… on this website.
We set some lofty goals for ourselves in 2018 and 2019 to bring multiple blogs together under one banner, finish and publish my first book “Refined by the Fire“, create our YouTube Channel and Blog “Truth Series“, and though not on our list, we launched a PodBean / iTunes Podcast.
I’m happy to say that all but one of our 2018 and 2019 goals was birthed. As for the one remaining unfinished goal, my desire to publish a devotional and prayer journal (though still in process) has taken second place to the birth of anew book – “The Cross Splits the World” (published Fall 2019).
And then came 2020 and like everyone else in the world, everything we upside down… plans were put on hold. Home became the only safe place. I had to make a quick transition to being primary caretaker for family just to keep them safe. Life took on a whole new meaning. “Locking family down” meant that I was on lock down as well. This new role, meant that most of my plans were put on hold. But I am happy and blessed to say, that we are all well and safe and none of those I tend to have succumbed!
And just when you think things are going to get back to normal… life happens again. We spent 2020 as primary care giver to my precious mother-in-law. She passed into eternity early 2021. Then came the closing of her estate and all that entails. My life took second place… and I wouldn’t change a thing.
Late 2021 into 2022 took us on a dozen or so trips south in search of our retirement home. We landed in Eastern North Carolina late 2022. It’s a perfect house on the end of a quiet street and we love it. So, now while there are still dozens and dozens of things needing care and attention in making this little home ours… it time to get back on track.
December 2023 marked the publication of my first fiction novel – The Left Behind Box. It is a work of End Times fiction based on Biblical Fact. Check out the Books Page to learn more.
The clock is ticking. So, what’s coming this year? The Truth Series writings have been removed from the blog and a book, though probably a series of books is in process. In this crazy world where up is down and left is right and right is wrong… when the battle is between good and evil, it is time the unvarnished, unapologetic Truths are put out there. The third book on my to-do list this year is a devotional about the names and attributes of Jesus and another the forth book on my to-do list is another devotional about My True Identity in Christ.
Some number of years ago, God spoke into my heart in the wee hours of the morning. Speak the TRUTH to the world. We don’t know what that looks like. And while we are excited to be able to say that we have 1000’s of visitors to our digital home, we are now reaching nearly 160 countries. As obedient servants we will continue on the path we set in motion last year and expand The Truth Series – where we discuss the Truths of the Kingdom of God without hesitation or reservation – on our blog, our YouTube channel and our iTunes and Podbean Podcast channels. In addition, I (Ann) hope to begin a discussion about walking out our faith in the current political/cultural/secular climate we now find ourselves living in.
Through all of this, we continue to prayerfully discern what God want’s for the direction of this ministry as we move into our next season of life (retirement!!). In all things we remember that God has blessed us beyond measure and it is our duty to share the Good News with those who might be blessed by it.
