There are books, and the there are BOOKS.

As many of your know, I am blessed to be able to read and review books from several different publishing company’s. Over the last few months, I have recieved and read some amazing books. And the one I am writing about today is no exception.

The Power Of A Half Hour by Pastor Tommy Barnett is AMAZING!!!

I’ve stuggled for some quite a while with own use, or waste, of my time. I sometimes feel like I lack focus and meaning to each of my 24-hours and that sometimes I’m just going through the motions of my days. Sure I do get alot done, actually I accomplish quite a bit… but it’s all just so much busy work.

This book has radically changed my thoughts. I don’t have a huge circle of influence, mostly just my family and close friends… but even there what could my half-hours change and influence.

I encourage you to pick up this book, You will not be disappointed. Perhaps if we all put our half hours together we can change this world for the Kingdom.

This book, The Power Of A Half Hour, is an excellent read that really got me to thinking about how I spend my half-hours. Through the use of personal anecdotes and inspiring stories, Pastor Barnett seriously encourages the readers’ to open their eyes to what could be possible in the span of 30 minutes and the impact that it could have only your life, your family, your relationships, your ministry, your circle of influence, and your world.

There are seven parts of this book: The Power of the Half Hour to… “Impact Your Life”, “Chart Your Life Path”, “Strengthen Your Faith”, “Build Your Character”, “Advance Your Dreams”, “Improve Your Relationships”, and “Change The World”. In each part, the author outlines that by grabbing hold of the principles of the power of the half hour you can make a difference in several major areas – such as Impact, Purpose and Goals, Faith, Character, Dreams, Relationships and Advancing God’s Kingdom.

This book also contains a 30-page Personal Action Plan. Each day of the Plan contains a Reading Assignment (from the book), a Half-Hour Power Principle, an Inspirational Quote from the author, and Plan/Action Steps to put what you have just learned into practice. In addition, the book also contains a Small-Group Study Guide designed with each of the seven sessions to be completed in… yes… 30 minutes!

There is so much information packed into these 200 pages that it is hard for me to review it all in a manner worthy of the nuggets of truth I found in this book. This is not a book that I will put on the shelf and mark as read. This is a book that requires more study.
