Last week, I released my second book, “The Cross Splits the World; The Protest, The Price and The Power of The Cross of Jesus Christ”. This book born out of events that occurred as I witnessed the Cross of Jesus Christ consciously being removed from its once prominent place into the dark recesses of a Church. In this book, I considered three thoughts about the Cross of Jesus Christ in the world in which we live.
The Protest of The Cross of Jesus Christ
So just what is it that the mere sight of the Cross of Jesus Christ and the faith behind it so objectionable? What is it about the Cross that causes such turmoil among brothers that friendships and family ties are forever broken? I believe it is because of what the Cross of Christ represents; the recognition of the totality of our wickedness and the impossibility of eternity with God in Heaven without the confession of the atoning work of Jesus Christ at the Cross.
God is shaking our world. He is revealing the hidden things to His people and we cannot be okay with what He is revealing. These things – abortion, pornography, sex-trafficking, same-sex marriage, the legalization of illicit drugs, and blatant contempt for anything remotely associated with Christianity are no longer being done in the shadows and darkness. Things that until now have been kept silent and hidden in the shadows are now being proclaimed loud and proud by leaders of this country. We, the children of God, cannot be okay with what is going on. God’s people can no longer be silent and complicit in letting it all just keep continuing; we must allow our rage and anger to finally come forth and stand.
Stand against the schemes of satan by standing for God’s righteousness and His glory. It is time to stand against abortion at any time, against pornography and sex-trafficking, against same sex marriage. It is time to stand against legalization of illicit drugs. Just stand. Continue reading
“The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, life to the fullest” John 10:10
You are the son, the daughter of the Most High King. Do not back down when the enemy comes around; do not cower, for we are called to be as BOLD as the Lion of Judah (Rev 5:5). God Almighty has put His Power in you so that it is there when you need it to ROAR.
Our enemy, satan, will use your past, your weaknesses, and areas of your life where you are not strong to entice, beguile and tempt you; believe that he will and he does. Scripture tells is in John 10:10 that satan has come to kill, steal, and destroy your life, your dreams, your future.
“…we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, Who is the head of His body, the church”
Ephesians 4:15 NLT
“That I may walk in Your truth” Ps 86:1
What is truth? Well a Google search on “what is truth” returned 683,000,000 hits – so someone, or quite a few someone’s, out there knows what truth is. Or at least they are offering a definition of what truth might be. But are they offering us their truth? Is their truth true? Or is it my truth? Is my truth true? Just who’s truth is it and who and what makes it true? Now that’s a whole bunch of questions!
Since 683,000,000 Google hits would be a bit more time consuming that I am ready for… I will start at the beginning. What is truth?
How do we define truth? It’s simple to say that truth is something that is true. But does that really say what truth is? Continue reading
Who am I? What is my true identity? This world sees me as a woman, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, friend, helper, widow, worker, speaker, author, neighbor, the list goes on. And while all of those are in fact true, I am so much more. You see, my Savior says that…
I am forgiven.
I am redeemed.
I am accepted.
I am blameless.
I am blessed.
I am adopted as God’s child.
I am marked as belonging to God by the Holy Spirit…
and so much more.
