Every Season Prayers by Scotty Smith is a wonderful resource that you will want to keep close at hand – not just for those times when you just don’t have the words to pray, but also for the times when you just need to hear soothing words for your heart. This book blessed me over and over as I read it. It is over 300 pages of straight from the heart prayers for so many different topics and occasions.

As the author states, his goal was not to “do” the praying for other Christians, rather to equip God’s people to pray. Which is the reason that he included many exercises in the book that will help you to develop your own prayer voice and your listening heart.

My only thoughts of what I wish were included in this book would be some sort of index that would help me to get to a particular prayer, though with 150 pages of just the “Prayers for All Occasions” that would be a huge undertaking.
