As I said in my review, this is an interesting book. I’m not sure that it doesn’t go deep enough to provide more information for those who think that they may have encountered demonic spirits. I will let the reader decide for themself.

Spiritual Warfare Jesus’ Way; How to Conquer Evil Spirits and Live Victoriously by Larry Richards is an interesting book. On one hand it is a practical manual, of sorts, of not just the why’s, but the how-to’s of spiritual warfare… but on the other hand, it is just that. A manual. In the book, the author does walk the reader through the how-to’s of recognizing the enemy’s attacks today, preparing to face the enemy, experiencing big and little everyday victories and how to help others who are under attack, in addition to a great deal more. All of this is done in light of Jesus’ Ministry and the commissioning of the Disciples.
My only concern with the information provided lies in the first line of the Preface to this book – “Spiritual Warfare is complex”. I, for one, would have loved to have had another couple hundred pages to really dive in deep into what the Christian needs when wanting to, or needing to, confront and evil and it’s dark forces.

About the Author: Larry Richards holds a BA in philosophy from the University of Michigan, a ThM in Christian education from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a PhD in religious education and social psychology from Garrett Biblical Seminary and Northwestern University jointly. He has taught at Wheaton College Graduate School, served as a minister of Christian education, and written over 200 books, including theological works, commentaries, and several specialty and study Bibles
