This is not your typical daily devotional. This is 31 days of Biblical Truths that the author, Yolanda Shanks, opens up and breaks down for us. Each day consists of a very short story/narrative followed by “Observations” about that story. From there the “Observations” are then broken down and interpreted in the manner of inductive bible study method.

From there, we are provided an application to actively put this knowledge to work in our lives. This is backed up with additional scriptures. At the end of each day we are given the space and opportunity to personalize that day’s scripture text.

Each day is just a few pages long, but each is jam-packed with information and insight into that day’s topic. Some of the topics that are presented are: Overcoming a Burnout Disposition, Fearfully and Wonderfully Made, Grounded and Settled, Put Together on Purpose, Performing a Spiritual Spring Cleaning and my favorite that spoke directly to my recently acquired anger issue…. Are You a Ticking Time Bomb.
