WHEN THE BATTLES AND SKIRMISHES BECOME TIME TO WAR

There will come times when the need for prayer becomes the need to enter into a battle. Then there are times when the battle intensifies. It is then that that it is time to go to war. This was that time. This was the time for my husband and me to go to war.

We knew we were covered in prayer by so many Godly brothers and sisters. But it was up to us, we were on the front line, and it was up to us to step up and armor up. It was time for us to enter into battle to save our son from eternal separation from God our Father.

IT WAS TIME TO ARMOR UP!

From Chapter One – “We knew this day was going to come. Seven years ago, our son, JM – now age 42, was diagnosed with an exceedingly rare and uncurable cancer called Multiple Myeloma. Multiple Myeloma is a cancer of white blood cells
(also known as plasma cells), which causes tumors to form and grow unchecked in every bone in the body thereby destroying the bones from the inside out. The cause of this particular cancer is mostly unknown and the perfect treatment to eradicate it does not exist. This disease can only be managed, and even then, only for a finite number of years.

October 2023 – After six years in remission, the cancer returned. And this time, it returned with a vengeance. Nearly every bone in his body was involved. For the next year, JM underwent twelve cycles of IV and Oral Chemotherapy.

October 2024 – The Month Before Day One
It has been a long 12 months since JM was diagnosed with a recurrence of his disease. Twelve months of oral and IV chemotherapy as well as directed radiation seemed to have brought him to a possible point of remission, though nobody knew how long that might last. His team of doctors were cautiously optimistic to the point that they agreed JM would be
able to have surgery for a full hip replacement to replace what cancer destroyed, in spite of the cancer infiltrating his bones. They were also considering harvesting his stem cells for future treatment, if necessary, his constant physical pain was being managed… We celebrated the good news!

All that was until one month later when life to a dramatic turn for the worse, and God Showed Up. This is a story of our Armoring Up and Entering into battle to save JM’s soul for eternity.
