I will venture a guess and say that many of you reading this book are, as we speak, either walking in the Refiner’s fire, have just come out of that fire or unbeknownst to you – are headed for the fire. I believe that there are few Christ followers in this world that have not been a fire walker at some point in their life. I know that I have.

Jesus is the only way to God and eternity in Heaven.
Only through Jesus’ finished work on the Cross can you be saved.
What is it about those two statements that make the Cross of Jesus Christ so offensive that they can cause such turmoil among brothers that friendships and family ties will be forever broken?
I believe that it is because of what the Cross of Christ represents;

If I were to ask you right now, who are you? Who do you think you are? What would you write? What words would you use? Whose standard do you use? Family? Friends? Community? Employer? Husband? Politically Correct Society?
What have others said to or about you which made you think you are less than? Were words spoken into your life decades ago that rear their ugly head from time to time? Do you compare yourself to others who appear to have it all? Do you wish you were different? Do you wish you could tell those people that you are not what they said you were?
It’s time to let it go. Let lose the hurts, the bad feelings, the lies you’ve believed – all of it. Stop giving the enemy the ammunition he needs to cause you to question who you really are. It’s time to discover and reclaim the truth of who you are in the eyes of Your Father in Heaven – The King of the Universe!
