Welcome to our digital home! We’re glad you’re here! Here is where we write the TRUTH and speak the TRUTH. The TRUTH of Jesus Christ, the TRUTH of the Cross, the TRUTH of Sin and Redemption, the TRUTH of Heaven and Hell, the TRUTH of Holy Spirit, the TRUTH of satan. In this digital home, as it is in our earthly home, we speak the TRUTH. And while that has, at times, caused some dissension, we nonetheless will not and can not be silent.
That being said, we don’t know that anything that we have to say will speak to you, we hope that it does. So it’s time to jump in and see what’s what here. Pour yourself a cup of coffee, or tea, sit back and take a few minutes to explore what all is here.
What you’ll find is a long running book review blog. That is how this page got started back in 2012. I (Ann) found that I was able to join my love of reading (free books to boot) with my desire to write, and voila’- a blog was born.
Around that same time, we decided to separate personal writings from the book review blog and another blog was started. And then life took over. It’s been such a crazy few years, and the want-to’s took second, sometimes third place to the have-to’s and the must-to’s. It is our hope that a lot will come to fruition this year. All in one place… on this website.
We set some lofty goals for ourselves in 2018 and 2019 to bring multiple blogs together under one banner, finish and publish my first book “Refined by the Fire“, create our YouTube Channel and Blog “Truth Series“, and though not on our list, we launched a PodBean / iTunes Podcast.
I’m happy to say that all but one of our 2018 and 2019 goals was birthed. As for the one remaining unfinished goal, my desire to publish a devotional and prayer journal (though still in process) has taken second place to the birth of two new books – “The Cross Splits the World” (published Fall 2019) and “It’s All About Who You Know” (the working title, expected publication Spring 2020).
And then came 2020 and like everyone else in the world, everything we upside down… plans were put on hold. Home became the only safe place. I had to make a quick transition to being primary caretaker for family just to keep them safe. Life took on a whole new meaning. “Locking family down” meant that I was on lock down as well. This new role, meant that most of my plans were put on hold. But I am happy and blessed to say, that we are all well and safe and none of those I tend to have succumbed!
That being said, it is time to get back on track. The clock is ticking. So, what’s coming this year? I have more books in mind, the first an End Times fiction (in-process), second I am removing the Truth Series from the blog and creating a book (in-process). In this crazy world where up is down and left is right and right is wrong… when the battle is between good and evil, it is time the unvarnished, unapologetic Truths are put out there.
As for Mike and I, we are quite possibly looking at early retirement and a move back down south. All of that is in God’s hands… we continue to pray for guidance and clarity in making our decision.
This year will will also resurrect Late in 2108 / early 2019, God spoke into my heart to speak the TRUTH to the world. We don’t know what that looks like. And while we are excited to be able to say that we have 10’s of 1000’s of visitors to our digital home, we are now reaching nearly 160 countries. As obedient servants we will continue on the path we set in motion last year and expand The Truth Series – where we discuss the Truths of the Kingdom of God without hesitation or reservation – on our blog, our YouTube channel and our iTunes and Podbean Podcast channels. In addition, I (Ann) hope to begin a discussion about walking out our faith in the current political/cultural/secular climate we now find ourselves living in.
Through all of this, we continue to prayerfully discern what God want’s for the direction of this ministry as we move into our next season of life (retirement!!). In all things we remember that God has blessed us beyond measure and it is our duty to share the Good News with those who might be blessed by it.
